Combining rich media with a powerful image can be an effective way to communicate content and engage learners.
Many presentation tools allow teachers and/or students to create simple online presentations based on a single powerful image. Creating projects with these tools engages students by encouraging them to communicate visually by selecting photos and with language by providing a narrative or text to provide content and context for the photo. With the appropriate tools teachers and students can pack LOTS of content knowledge and understanding into a single image! Completed projects can be presented and easily shared with a wider audience.
